Help!

Okay everyone! I need to take a poll. Hopefully this will help convince my husband to name our baby what I want! So, after hours and hours of scouring name lists, I finally got that special feeling. Are you ready? I want to name our new baby boy Palmer Allan Brandt. Rob is not a fan but I'm sure I can convince him if the rest of the world is on my side! I want honest opinions here. And if you don't like it, feel free to share your brilliant ideas! Because we are at a standstill!

Go for it. It's different but not too different, which I like. You still have a ways to go, so maybe by the time he's born, Rob will have taken a liking!

I like it but Thayne doesn't. He said it doesn't sound like a "mans" name. More like a "girly" man's name. But what does he know!

I really like it as a name. The problem I have with it at this point is that it's your maiden name, which I think is weird. But why do I think that's weird? How does that affect anything, really?

Your baby boy will be gorgeous and loved, no matter what you name him. I like Palmer, but it isn't my all time favorite... I really like that it is a name with deep meaning to you. You have another month or two right? I'd sleep on it. I have always felt so anxious to have the name figured out, but with our last 2 we really really didn't know till we studied their faces, and man, Lily and Henry's names fit them to a T. (and Lily is a name Dave Hated! and we really hardly even considered Henry!)

Hang in there. I don't see Palmer as a sissy-man ;) (or a "Sebastian" kind of name ;) )

Oh, man, Kara...don't you love the baby naming game? I always thought it would be the funnest, most special bonding time as a couple. Instead it's the time that we've come nearest to dissolving our union. But I digress. I like the name! I actually had a cousin that named their son Player. At first we all thought it was kinda weird, but I admit that I'm a bit jealous of it now. You could always name him Allan Palmer Brandt, then call him Palmer. I've never been a huge fan of "naming" them one thing and "calling" them another, but Andrew has helped me see that it's just giving the baby a choice. So if your little guy grows up and absolutely hates the name Palmer (which I doubt he would) then he can always choose to go by Allan. Or just Al. Or maybe just Din. (Do you know what I'm quoting or do you think I'm just nuts?)

I told Nathan about the name and he loves it. And I think it's GREAT! My mother-in-law's maiden name is Cardon. And, of course, you know Cardon. They obviously did the same thing, and it worked out great. Tell Wad that he needs to pray more about it. : )

Since I have a son name Brant, it sounds to me like you're saying his name backwards! LOL! Don't stress it though. Julianna named one of her boys Tenney (which is our mom's maiden name) and it really fits him.

I like the whole name together, it really flows, but just Palmer Brandt sounds like how you used to say your name, Kara Palmer Brandt. So I am not sure. I looked through my list of baby names but nothing stuck out to me. I chose baby names that really meant something to me. Also, I never name my babies till I see them.
